This Sunday
Join us this Easter Sunday to hear Rev. Sandra McKinney's message The Power of the Easter Story. If we allow Easter to be a metaphor for the deeper meanings of life and spiritual awakening, then Easter can be entered into as a conscious inner quest-- a quest that asks and honors what is stirring within oneself. As the Daily Word says for this Sunday, Each rising is proof that resurrection is a divine energy pulsing through every heartbeat and breath. What we create together in commUNITY we spread out to the world! Sunday's Daily Word: Easter: On this glorious Easter morning, I rise. |

The Good Friday ProjectFriday, April 3 on Zoom Join Unity of the Southeast Region Good Friday for a deeper understanding of “The Seven Last Words of Jesus” as presented by Unity leaders, Youth and Young Adults from SE Unity Ministries. They will guide and inspire through a 3-hour contemplative experience. Each segment will have music, a short discourse, meditation and end with a minute of silence. Log on Friday, April 3rd anytime between 10:45am and 1:45 pm CT to experience a part of or to enjoy the entire service. This year, The Good Friday Project will also be aired on Anointed Radio (https://uums.org/uums-radio/). Being on both platforms is an opportunity for all to hear and observe. The Good Friday Project is presented on a “Love Offering” basis. Proceeds will aid in supporting their Y.O.U. Looking for a warm welcome!
We’re known for being a warm and welcoming community and that’s something to celebrate! Now, we’d love to take that welcome one step further. What if we shifted our mindset from “visitors” to “guests”? Can you feel the difference? Guests are people we intentionally care for, connect with and make sure feel comfortable from beginning to end. We do a beautiful job greeting people as they arrive. Where we could use a little extra help is after the service. Many of us have responsibilities once the service concludes, and it can be hard to continue those meaningful connections. That’s why we’re looking to expand our welcome team. We’re hoping to create a simple rotation--perhaps a once a month commitment--so more of us can help connect with newcomers while still keeping flexibility in our schedules. What might this look like?
It’s really about presence —making sure no one leaves feeling unnoticed or unsure of what’s next. If you would be willing to help us extend our Unity hospitality in this way, we would be so grateful. Together, we can continue creating the loving, welcoming experience that makes Unity feel like home. Interested? There is a sign-up sheet at the Connect and Serve table! |

Meatless PotluckSunday, April 19 In celebration of Earth Day and focusing the entire month of April upon our awareness of spirit in all life forms, we are holding a meatless potluck enjoying plant food on Sunday, April 19th. Please look for yummy old or new recipes and share your creations with your Unity friends. The children and their families will contribute their version of Stone Soup, coming together as a community, sharing a little from many to create a feast of minestrone soup.
Remember also to look for the Earth Care prize drawing box on the Connect and Serve Table, where you give yourself credit for your actions of 2025-2026 Principle #5, living the truth you know, in actions of love, kindness, respect, protection of our earth and beings, sharing our earth.
In other words, if you did any of the following or others, please write down your action, along with your name and phone #, and place it in the prize drawing box:

2. Grew a garden of vegetables, or for pollinators
3. Compost plastic bags
4. Stopped or minimized using single-use plastic containers

10. Increased awareness via viewing documentaries (i.e. Plastic Detox [Netflix], Forks over Knives, Kiss the Ground, The Reducetarian Solution)
11. Reduced eating of meat to benefit the planet's resources and one's own health
12. Check out this website and register your kitchen table with https://1milliontables.org/ to see the environmental impact you and your family have made in eating a meatless meal.
