This Sunday, join us to hear the fantastic message about our interdependence with all things from the spiritual and thought-provoking Rev. Sandra McKinney. Join us--all those positive ripples of energy we create in unity, we then bring out into the world! Sunday's Daily Word: Interdependence: I am connected with all beings. We are one in God. |

Be a Light For All To SeeFundraiser Unity of Appleton has unveiled a new fundraising campaign: Light the Way. We really need to update and repair our current lighting and this fundraiser is a way to do just that. Proceeds from the Rummage Sale in May and from the Spiritual Wellness Retreat have already started lighting a path towards our goal of $13,325--which is the amount necessary to completely overhaul the lighting in all three floors of our building. New lights can provide us with a better learning and working environment, let us be more energy-efficient and help us have a more functional, welcoming space for ourselves, our renters and the community! Be a Light for all to see. – Matthew 5:16 |

Sunday School update
We acknowledge the time and talents our volunteers have given to our children’s programming. July and August is the time to give them more flexibility in their schedules and enjoy time with their families. Parents are always welcome to bring their children with them to the sanctuary. Sunday school will resume in September. |

Men's and Women's MastermindSaturday, July 11 Spiritual but not religious? We get that! Come check out our Mastermind meetings! A men's or women's mastermind group is a small group where members provide mutual support, brainstorming and accountability to help each other achieve their personal goals. In our Mastermind meetings, we set our intentions for the month and explore ideas through the lens of Unity's metaphysical principles. We share experiences, learn from each other and develop strategies for success together. Join us for a discussion of powerful spiritual techniques. You'll be glad you did! |

America the Beautiful 250Saturday, July 18 faith250 is a program that invites faith leaders and communities across the country to form clusters of congregations to act as sacred spaces for listening to one another, clarifying our shared civic values and celebrating our hopes for America. Thanks to the efforts of our Spiritual Leadership team, faith250 is presenting America the Beautiful, a Sing-Along for Peace & Justice at Unity of Appleton Saturday, July 18 from 1:00-2:30 pm. Katharine Lee Bates wrote “America the Beautiful” in 1893, combining the poem with music composed by Samuel Wald. The poem combines the themes of the country’s grandeur and need for moral improvement. The first and fourth stanzas celebrate America’s physical beauty. The lesser-known second and third stanzas raise questions about national power and sucess. Bates addresses the challenges of loving an imperfect nation experiencing political corruption and nativism sparked by increasing immigration. Join us as we unpack the depth of each of the four stanzas through song and discussion. |
