Our speaker this Sunday is the delightful and thoughtful Rev. Sandra McKinney with her message: You'll See It When You Believe It. According to The Revealing Word, belief is an inner acceptance of an idea as true. Belief is closely related to faith. Belief functions both consciously and unconsciously. To erase hidden error beliefs, a comprehensive program of denial is necessary.

Our World Peace Festival Fox Cities committee is asking families and friends of Unity of Appleton to be creative and create a basket with a theme of your choice for this September’s festival. If you know of a local business, please ask them if they would like to participate!

You can check any of the thrift stores in our area for good looking baskets or containers, or you may have one lying around at home.  Next, choose a theme for your basket.  If you get stuck, here are a few, or search the internet or Pinterest for Raffle Basket Ideas.

· Cheese Please

· Dog/Cat themed basket

· Dining Out Tonight

· Game Night

· Mom’s Day Off

Unity of Appleton has unveiled a new fundraising campaign: Light the Way. We really need to update and repair our current lighting and this fundraiser is a way to do just that. Proceeds from the Rummage Sale in May and from the Spiritual Wellness Retreat have already started lighting a path towards our goal of $13,325--which is the amount necessary to completely overhaul the lighting in all three floors of our building.

New lights can provide us with a better learning and working environment, let us be more energy-efficient and help us have a more functional, welcoming space for ourselves, our renters and the community!
